Metro

U-Bahn is carrying passengers on 8 lines from 96 stations. At peak times, trains run in every 5 minutes with some overlap, with the first trains departing around 4 AM and the lasts at approximately 2 AM.

Rapid transit railway

S-Bahn runs in, around, and outside of the city. Most lines run together from Ostbahnhof to Donnersberger Brücke. Trains run with a usual frequency of 20 minutes.

Tram

13 daytime and 4 night trams make the tramway network of Munich. If you have companions to travel, you can buy a group day ticket which allows up to 5 passengers to travel together.

Buses

Buses are mostly modern, comfortable and frequent. Night buses carry passengers even to the suburbs of the city. Some night lines meet at the junction at Karlsplatz (Stachus).
